Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is the first national forest park approved by China on September 25, 1982. It is formerly the state-owned Zhangjiajie Forest Farm, located in the northwest of Zhangjiajie City, with a total area of 72,000mu, which preserves the natural scene of the Yangtze River Valley of 5,000 years ago. The mountain peak in whole territory is even connected with sky, the beautiful distant mountain is hidden, the over hanging waterfall is splashed, gathering the red and green trees and flowers, with strange mountain, strange water, strange rock, strange peak and strange tree, it is a magical world. The scenic spots in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park are concentrative, with a total of 136 scenic spots, distributed in Huangshi Village, Jinbian Stream, Lute Stream, Yaozi Village, Shedao Trench and Yuanjiajie and other scenic spots. Among them, Jinbian Rock, Zicao Pool and Longdistance Meet in Jinbian Stream, Sealed-book Treasure Box, Iron Rod and Overbridge Pier in Huangshi Village, Spouses Rock in Lute Stream, Maze Platform and first bridge in the world in Yuanjiajie, and layer rock tower in Yaozi Village, are known as ten superb sceneries of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park.
